First Inning
Noah Wilcox takes the mound for Okeechobee. Wilcox fires off the first pitch and drills Clay Golden in the arm. After tending to the wounded batter, Marianna sends Zach Davis, Brandon Burch, and Clade Rooks to the plate that all draw a walks from the rattled Noah Wilcox walking in Clay Golden. Chris Godwin hits a single up the middle scoring Davis and Burch for two RBI’s and placing runners at first and third. Godwin advances to second when the ball gets away from Justin Morgan behind the plate. Jay Elliot bunts for a squeeze back and Rooks slides under that tag at home as the ball gets knocked from Morgan’s glove. Ryan Hughes grounds out to shortstop but receives an RBI as Godwin scores. Finally settling in to the pitching, Noah sends Marianna’s designated hitter Tyler Griffin back to the dugout after a swinging third strike. Ryan Riley sends a ball flying over shortstop into left-centerfield bringing home Elliot. Back at the top of the order, Clay Golden flies out to second base for out number 3. Marianna starts off with a six point lead with ten batters making an appearance.
Tyler Finney steps to the plate knowing that hot bats are a must. He patiently awaits his pitch and is given a walk. Tyler Finney makes his way to second when a wild pitch is thrown over the catcher’s head . Left hander, Austin Hamilton slams a ball to short that causes the short to fumble allowing him to land safely at first. Tyler Finney tries to score but is out at the plate after a controversial call for the first out for Okeechobee. With Hamilton on first, Justin Morgan grabs a hold of a pitch and sends it sailing out into centerfield for a single. With runners on first and second, Mark Weir rips a ball up the third base line, scoring Hamilton, sending Morgan to third and landing himself on second. Brad Coleman hits the ball to second base and reaches the base after the second baseman is unable to make the play. He earns an RBI as Morgan scores and Weir advances to third. Noah Wilcox takes a hard swing at the first pitch and then sends a hard grounder to short, scoring Weir and landing himself on first with a fielder’s choice. The shortstop fires to second – Coleman is out – and then fires to first for an attempted double play. The first baseman is unable to keep hold of the ball and Wilcox is safe at first. Noah Wilcox steals second base. Will Jackson grounds out to second base for out number three.
The opening score after one inning Okeechobee 3 – Marianna 6
Second Inning
Noah Wilcox looked like a new pitcher in the second inning. Finding his groove he sends the first two Marianna batters, Zach Davis and Brandon Burch, packing with strikeouts in their bag. Clade Rooks draws a walk but is left on base when a third victim, Chris Godwin, goes down swinging.
Timmy Farrell opens for Okeechobee and knocks a ball into left field for a single. Jacalob Akins draws a walk, advancing Farrell to second. Tyler Finney bunts up the third base line and he beats out. Farrell is called out as he rounds third. With runner on first and second, Austin Hamilton slams another ball out into right center that rolls all the way to the fence for a triple that brings home Akins and Finney. Justin Morgan slams a ball straight into the second baseman’s glove for out number two. Mark Weir sends a hard hit ball to short who snatches the ball for the third out to end the inning.
The score is Okeechobee 5 – Marianna 6 after two innings of play.
Third Inning
Jay Elliot swings at the first pitch down the first base line. Austin Hamilton fields the ball as Wilcox covers first for the first out. Ryan Hughes sends a little blooper back to Wilcox who bobbles the ball allowing Hughes to be safe at first. Tyler Griffin sends the ball to Coleman on third who makes the throw in time to first drawing the second out. Ryan Riley connects with the ball and sends it air-mail to right field, but Timmy Farrell locates under the ball and makes the catch to end Marianna’s at bat.
Bradley Coleman begins a hitting streak for the Okeechobee squad, with a hit up the third base side when Marianna’s defense is unable to make the play. Noah Wilcox continues the streak with a long shot over short for a single. With two runners on base Will Jackson steps to the plate knowing a tie is reachable. Wilcox and Coleman advance on a pass ball. A pitching change is made in mid-count with Jackson having three balls and no strikes. Marianna’s new pitcher, Jackson eventually draws a walk, loading up the bases. Timmy Farrell swings at the first pitch and pulls it down the first base line scoring Coleman and advancing Wilcox and Jackson to second and third. Marianna’s first baseman makes the unassisted out at first driving in Coleman. Jacalob Akins also swings at the first pitch, flying out to third base. Back at the top of the order, Okeechobee’s Tyler Finney hits the ball over the shortstop for a stand-up double. Two runs score (Wilcox and Jackson) allowing Okeechobee to take the lead 8 – 6 with two outs. Austin Hamilton sends an unplayable ball past the second baseman scoring Tyler Finney and is successfully safe at first. Justin Morgan rips another line drive to the other side that is caught by Marianna’s third baseman to close out the inning.

Fourth Inning
Noah Wilcox faces the top of Marianna’s order. However Emanuel is substituted for Golden. Emanuel goes down swinging after only three pitches. Zach Davis draws a walk after racking up the pitch count. Brandon Burch also draws a walk. Brian Morgan takes a trip to the mound to slow down the momentum of the Marianna squad, leaving Noah Wilcox on the mound. Clade Rooks hits up the middle for a single and the ball nails Burch as he tries to advance. Burch is called out. Chris Godwin reaches first when his batted ball is tough for Okeechobee’s third baseman to handle, allowing Zach Davis to score. With a score of Okeechobee 9 to Marianna’s 7, Jay Elliot takes five pitches before grounding out to Tyler Finney who makes the throw to first for the third out.
Jay Elliot replaces Godwin on the mound. Mark Weir starts off the fourth, just like the third with a solid hit up the middle for a single and advances to second on a pitch into the dirt. Brad Coleman lands his third hit of the game, sending the ball over first into right field, scoring Mark Weir. Noah Wilcox tries to work the pitcher but goes down swinging for the first out. Will Jackson sent the ball out to left field for a double, bringing in Bradley Coleman for a score of Okeechobee 11 to Marianna’s 7. Will Jackson moves to third when the second pitch to Timmy Farrell nearly hits the batter. A pitching change is made in mid-count with Ryan Riley taking the mound for Marianna. With one out runner on third, Farrell draws a base on balls and advances to second when a pitch to Jacalob Akins hits the dirt. Jacalob Akins grounds out to short for the second out, but Will Jackson scores for an RBI credited to Jacalob Akins. Tyler Finney rips another ground ball to right field for an RBI single as Farrell crosses the plate. Austin Hamilton grounds out to short to put an end to Okeechobee’s at bat.

Fifth Inning
A pitching change for Okeechobee brings, Mark Weir to the mound, who only faces three batters. Ryan Hughes swings at the first pitch, flying out to Timmy Farrell in right field. Tyler Griffin is sent back to the dugout after swinging at strike three. Ryan Riley smacks a hard ball to shortstop but Tyler Finney is on his toes, making the catch bringing Marianna to their third and what becomes their final out.
The fifth inning at bats opens with Justin Morgan who rips the ball into deep right field for a double. Mark Weir works Jay Elliot hard and Morgan advances to third on a passed ball. Mark Weir places the ball in the exact same place as Morgan for a double, bringing in Justin Morgan. Bradley Coleman places the ball up the first baseline and Marianna’s first baseman makes the unassisted out. Weir advances to third. Noah Wilcox sends the ball through the left side for a double, driving in Weir. The game now stands at 15-7. Wilcox will advance to third when an out of control pitch is uncatchable. Marianna’s coach visits the mound and once again a pitching change is made in mid-count. Zach Davis comes from centerfield to take over the pitching. Will Jackson follows up with an almost identical hit to left field, driving in Wilcox. Thor Harden is substituted for Timmy Farrell and draws a base on balls. Timmy Farrell re-enters to run for Thor Harden. Riley Carter substitutes for Jacalob Akins and grounds out to an unassisted play at first for the second out, advancing runners to second and third. Tyler Finney nails another one down the third baseline, bringing two runs across the plate and the game to a close due to the ten-run-rule.
The game closes with a score of Okeechobee 18 – Marianna 7, advancing Okeechobee to the semi-finals.

First Inning
Left hander Timmy Farrell on the mound. Tambasco hits a fly ball to second but Tyler Finney unable to get under it so he reaches first on an error. Louis Colaiaroma takes two balls and rips a ball on the second base side. Mark Weir tries to make the play but the ball goes between his legs. The single advances Tambasco to second. Julian Perez with a 2-1 count watches his teammates steal. An overthrow at third allows Tambasco to score and puts Colaiaroma on third. Perez hits a bomb over the centerfield fence, bringing in two more runs. The score suddenly becomes 3 – 0. Chobee takes a conference at the mound. Ian Townsend hits past Austin Hamilton at first for a single. During T.J.. Simpson’s at bat Ian Townsend steals second. Simpson hits a little blooper to third, but Brad Coleman was unable to make the play. Townsend advances to third. Simpson tries to distract Farrell on the mound with antics at first. With runners at first and third, Simpson steals second but chooses to walk in what seemed to be a rather mocking fashion. Justin Morgan fires the ball to Farrell who then turns and fires to second. Simpson got what he deserved as he went back to the dugout with his head hanging low. Farrell sits Kodetsky down with three pitches and follows suit with Jon Gaffney to end the inning, leaving Townsend on base.
Springhill’s Jon Gaffney takes the mound. Tyler Finney opened for Chobee with a grounder to second for out number one. Justin Morgan slams a nice rip through the shortstop and third for a base hit and advances to second on an error credited to the catcher who overthrew attempting to pick him off at first. Mark Weir lays one down the third base line that pops up over the third baseman for a single. While Brad Coleman is at bat, Mark Weir seizes the opportunity to steal second. With two runners in scoring position, Coleman sends the ball hopping to second base and the throw is made home to try to prevent Morgan from scoring, which is unsuccessful. Coleman attempts to make his way to second on the throw to home but is nailed at second base for out number two. Noah Wilcox loads up the count before sending the ball up the middle against the fence for a stand up double that scores Weir from third. Noah’s lightning speed allows him to steal second base with a slide under the tag during Will Jackson’s at-bat. Will Jackson battles with the pitcher for several pitches, before heading back to the dugout with out three from his strikeout.

Second Inning
Donte Sollazzo hits a routine grounder to second and Tyler Finney executes the throw to Hamilton at first for out number 1. Farrell, settling in, sends Joey Asquith and Tambasco back with strike outs.
Thor Harden takes his place in the batter’s box and takes several hard cuts but cannot successfully meet the ball. He strikes out for out number one. Timmy Farrell swings at the third strike, which is dropped, and makes the trip to first but not in time to beat the ball. With two outs, Austin Hamilton works the pitcher and earns his way to first with a walk . Back at the top of the order, Tyler Finney also draws a walk in four straight balls. Springhill’s coach visits the mound to settle Gaffney. Justin Morgan swings at the first pitch and connects with the second pitch – a grounder to second to end the inning.

Third Inning
Louis Colaiaroma takes a few pitches from Farrell before sending the ball down the first base line. Hamilton fields the ball and makes the unassisted out. Julian Perez rips a line drive to short but it was no match for Mark Weirs quick hands as he snags the ball for the second out. Ian Townsend sends the ball up the middle for a single and steals second during T.J. Simpson’s at bat. Simpson earns a count of 0 – 2 and hits a fly ball out to Noah Wilcox in right field for out number three.
Mark Weir opens the third inning in true Chobee fashion with a long shot into right field right against the foul pole for a stand-up double. Brad Coleman lays down a great sacrifice bunt advancing Mark Weir to second. Noah Wilcox took some hard cuts but came up empty-handed for out number two. Will Jackson hits a grounder to second for out number three.

Fourth Inning
On the second pitch, Mike Kodetsky, hits a hard ball back to Farrell that stings him in the thigh. Farrell gathers himself and still makes the throw to Hamilton for the first out of the inning. Coach Brian Morgan calls time, checks on Farrell, and has him throw a few to be sure he is still in commission. Play resumes as Jon Gaffney works Farrell, loading up the count and still fouling one away before he goes down looking at Farrell’s curveball. Donte Sollazzo fouls two away and swings at the third for out three. Three up and three down .. Chobee style!
Thor Harden opens the inning with out one after striking out. Timmy Farrell hits the ball back up the middle into centerfield for a solid base hit. Jacalob Akins enters the game as a courtesy runner for pitcher, Timmy Farrell. Austin Hamilton gets up under the ball and flies out to Julian Perez at third. Tyler Finney executes a hit and run, reaching first base and advancing Jacalob Akins to third base. Justin Morgan earns a walk. However, all three boys would be stranded as Mark Weir attempted to connect with the ball hard but came up with a strike out.
Fifth Inning
Springhill’s #9 batter, Joey Asquith battles beyond a full count but eventually falls to Farrell’s pitching. Thomas Tambasco is sat down after three pitching, watching the third fly by. Colaiaroma hits a small blooper heading between first and second, drawing Hamilton off the bag. With no coverage on first, Colaiaroma is safe at first. Farrell balks advancing Colaiaroma to second. After one pitch to Julian Perez, Colaiaroma is sent and is put out at third with the throw from Justin Morgan.
With Gaffney throwing strikes, Brad Coleman and Noah Wilcox both record strike outs for the inning. Will Jackson fires the ball to right field for a single and steals second base while Thor Harden is attempting to bring him home. Harden goes down swinging to end the inning.

Sixth Inning
With a count of 3 -1, Julian Perez fires the ball right by third for a sweet base hit. Ian Townsend taps the ball right up the middle and reaches first. T.J. Simpson pops up a bunt to third base and also lands on first. With bases loaded Woop, substituting for Kodetsky, slams the ball by shortstop for a two RBI single. The hitting streak prompts a trip to the mound by Brian Morgan and a pitching change. With Mark Weir on the mound, the runners advance on a wild pitch as he settles in. Jon Gaffney works the pitch count but eventually strikes out looking for out number one. Donte Sollazzo also records a strike out after only four pitches and Joey Asquith flies out to Mark Weir at shortstop.

Riley Carter takes the mound for Okeechobee to face the top of the order for Springhill. Thomas Tambasco sends the ball over shortstop for a single . Louis Colaiaroma fouls a few off against Carter before Tambasco takes a big lead and is picked off heading to second. Eventually, the third strike flies by Colaiaroma for out number two. Julian Perez hits a hot ball out to right field for a triple but remains on third as Ian Townsend flies out to first.
Hopes to at least tie up the game are squelched with a three up – three down inning for Okeechobee offensively. Justin Morgan nails a hard fly ball to center that becomes out number one. Mark Weir grounds out to second for out number two and Brad Coleman grounds out to Gaffney on the mound, ending the game.

Tyler Finney slams a ball through the right side for a stand up double, advancing Harden to third. Justin Morgan is pounded on the backside with the first pitch and trots down to first base. With bases loaded, Mark Weir steps to the plate but his batted ball is fielded by the pitcher and a close play is made at first as the Dylan Lee fumbles a bit with the catch.

Caleb Coppage bunts the ball towards the pitcher but steps on the ball while running to first and is called out. The third batter, Shawn Herbert is retired after watching Austin Hamilton’s pitch whiz by.

Brad Coleman leads off with a solid hit short and beats out the throw for a single. Noah Wilcox slams a ball to second and the play is made at first with a fielder’s choice that advances Coleman. Will Jackson found a hole between short and third and earns an RBI as Will Jackson crosses the plate. Vernon’s coach makes a trip to the plate and a pitching change occurs. The team chooses to pull their left hander, Dylan Lee from first to replace Dylan Kirk on the mound. With Will Jackson on first, Thor Harden smacks the ball toward second and Jackson is thrown out at second. The attempted double play is just short and Harden lands on first. Timmy Farrell steps to the plate and swings at the third strike. A dropped ball forces Farrell to make the run to first but can’t beat out the throw from the catcher.

Batter number 7 for Vernon, Dylan Kirk, steps to the plate to face the dominating Austin Hamilton and falls short after looking at the third strike. Jordan Curry takes a hearty swing at the first pitch but Mark Weir fields the ball like it is clockwork and the out is successfully made at first. With two outs, Cody Harmon fouls a ball off, receives two balls, watches strike two but falls after swinging strikeout.

Austin Hamilton starts off the inning for Chobee and draws a walk. Jacalob Akins enters the game as a speed-up runner for Hamilton. Jacalob Akins takes a jump as Tyler Finney performs a perfect hit and run that draws the shortstop away from the play advancing Akins to second and planting himself on first. Justin Morgan makes his appearance with runners on first and second but falls short with a strike out. Mark Weir draws a walk to load up the bases. Jacalob Akins makes an attempt to steal home as the pitcher returns to the mound but is thrown out. Two men are left on-board after Brad Coleman falls to Vernon’s lefty Dylan Lee.

Back at the top of the order, Vernon starts off with Hunter Dobbs, who bunts and reaches first base. Dobbs steals second base and third base as Hamilton pays him no attention. T.J. Alman smacks a ball through the middle barely missing Tyler Finney’s glove as he dives for the catch for a single driving in Hunter Dobbs for Vernon’s first run. Dylan Gibson places the ball in almost the exact same place for a double. With runners on second and third, Dylan Lee, Vernon’s relief pitcher, falls victim to Hamilton for the second time for out number 1 with three pitches. Caleb Coppage hits a dinker for the suicide squeeze that is picked up by the catcher and as the throw is made to first for the out, allowing Alman to score but Gibson rounds third and is caught in a pickle. Okeechobee’s defense is well versed and Gibson brings out number three of the inning.

Noah Wilcox draws a full count and hits the ball to third and is thrown out at first. Will Jackson unable to find the pitch he wants goes down looking. Thor Harden patiently waits as ball after ball crosses the plate, eventually drawing a walk. With Vernon’s pitching struggling, Timmy Farrell also walks with four straight balls. With Harden on second and Farrell on first, Austin Hamilton racks up the count and fouls many off doing his best to battle back. However he falls short with a strike out ending Chobee’s at bat for the fifth inning.

Shawn Herbert draws a walk in five pitches and Dylan Cook strikes out looking after fouling off several pitches. Jordan Curry slides a ball just to the third base side of Mark Weir at shortstop. With runners on first and second, Cody Harmon steps up to the plate. Hervert and Curry advance a base on a pass ball. With runners in scoring position Harmon slams a line drive to Mark Weir who snatches the ball from the air for out two and tosses the ball to third putting out Herbert who hopped off the bag. The well executed double play ends the inning.

The sixth inning is a big inning for Chobee who start the inning at the top of the order. Tyler Finney draws a walk. Vernon’s pitcher took a little off his fast balls, and throws some beauties causing Justin Morgan to go down swinging for out number one. Mark Weir takes several pitches and Tyler Finney steals second. Weir smacks a single to short who short hops it to first, allowing Weir to land safely. Bradley Coleman earns his way to first with a walk, loading up the bases. With Noah Wilcox at the plate, Tyler Finney scores on a pass ball and Weir and Coleman both advance. Wilcox was unable to connect and was sent back with his only strike out of the game. Will Jackson’s patience paid off and he earned a free pass to first as well, loading up the bases once again. Vernon’s coach takes a trip to the mound, knowing that Thor Harden, who placed second in the homerun derby is due to come to the plate. During Harden’s at bat, a wild pitch allows Justin Morgan to score. Harden takes several brutal cuts but can’t connect. His strike out ends the inning leaving two men on base.

Right-hander, Noah Wilcox takes the mound in relief for Austin Hamilton. Vernon starts out with the top of the order. Hunter Dobbs draws a walk as Wilcox settles in to a rhythm. T.J. Alman executes a hit and run up the middle that is fielded by Mark Weir. Dobbs has difficulty slowing down at second and comes slightly off the bag and Weir lays the tag on his forearm for out number 1. T.J. Altman lands on first but that is where he remains as Dylan Gibson and Dylan Lee both strike out under the arm of Noah Wilcox.

Hunter Dobbs takes the mound for Vernon as Timmy Farrell opens the 7th and worked the pitch count, forcing Dylan Lee to pitch eight pitches before being sent to the dugout with a strike out for out number 1. Austin Hamilton earns a base on balls and advances to second when Tyler Finney executes a sacrifice fly to right field and a wild throw from right field to first base. Justin Morgan steps to the plate and while Morgan is performing, Hamilton advances to third on a pass ball. Justin Morgan, wanting that last RBI, swings with gusto, earns a full count, but is unable to connect. Out number three comes with his strike out.

Chobee takes the field, knowing how desperately they need to hold Vernon to the two runs that they have already gotten. Only four batters would make an appearance. Caleb Coppage hit a well-placed ball just out of reach of first baseman Timmy Farrell for a single. Shawn Herbert comes to the plate and during his at-bat, Coppage advances to second on a pass ball after nearly getting picked off by Justin Morgan’s throw to first and Herbert strikes out watching Wilcox’s pitch fly by first class. Coppage makes a steal attempt for third but is thrown out, which proved costly. Dylan Cook sits back and takes a base on balls but is stranded on first when Jordan Curry takes three hard cuts that can’t seem to connect.
